Issues

Prioritize the list, then solve the top issue first.

Issues is where the meeting spends most of its time. The list collects everything dropped from the earlier steps plus anything you add.

How to use it

  1. Add each issue as a short headline. Anything dropped from the scorecard, priorities or to-dos is already here.
  2. Drag the list into priority order, with the most important first.
  3. Work the top issue: Identify the real problem, Discuss it briefly, then Solve it, usually by creating a to-do with an owner.
  4. Mark it solved and move to the next one.

The 💬 button on an issue opens a side panel with a description and a comments thread, so the background and the discussion stay with the issue.

Workshop an issue

Workshop on an issue opens Enginely Stage, the free mind map, in a panel over the meeting with the issue as the central topic and Context, Ideas, Options and Decision branches ready to fill in. Whiteboard it there, and mark follow-ups as action items with a checkbox, an owner and a date.

When you are done, select Send back to the meeting at the top right of the map. The panel closes and you see the open action items. Pick the ones to keep, set the owners and select Create to-dos. You can also keep the outline on the issue as Workshop notes. ← Back to the meeting closes the panel without sending anything (your map stays saved in Stage), and Open in new tab opens the map in its own tab, which is better for presenting it full screen over Zoom.

Long-term issues

Long-term moves an issue off the weekly list and onto the Planning Board's Long-Term Issues column, so it stays visible without taking meeting time.

Show archived shows solved issues from past meetings. See IDS issue solving for a longer guide.

Tip: if the room is going in circles, ask "what is the real issue?" and write the answer as the headline.
